HEMINGWAY AND THE WOMEN A game between equals The women who had a blood tie or shared a stretch of road with the Nobel writer Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) - even in all the varieties of their existential paths (mothers, nurses, wives, journalists, actresses, models, intellectuals) - had the common ability of being other than Hemingway, of not having lived under his reflected light, but of having chosen freedom which often foresaw the feminine autonomy and independence which today is a widespread heritage of western society. Starting from the title, “Hemingway and women” (and not an arguably more obvious “The women of Hemingway”) and from the subtitle - “A game between equals” - this book intends to put the first global writing star of the twentieth century on the same level as those who have, wrongly and for too long, appeared only as the obligatory female “side-dish”. This interactive ebook is made for the exhibition having the same title, arranged form June to October 2013 by the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy (on the Adriatic Sea and visited once on April 15th 1954 by Hemingway) on the occasion of the 29th edition of the “Ernest Hemingway Lignano Sabbiadoro Award” for the literature and the journalism. Reading the book you can: - See in pages the 19 photos - optimized for the Retina Display - that "tell" the long story between the writer and his women - See any photo with a "Gigapixel widget" that lets you zoom to an astonishing full high-resolution! - Read the quotes carefully drawn from the Hemingway's works, letters and from the scholars - Discover the story of each of the 19 women that were most important in Hemingway's life

Better than any summary app. The questions made me think instead of just skim.
