About This Book
“Credevo guardassi da che parte ti pende il naso”... una frase come tante, pronunciata dalla moglie, scardina tutte le certezze di Vitangelo Moscarda. Dalla constatazione di un lieve difetto fisico, il protagonista capisce di trovarsi di fronte a un estraneo, o meglio a centomila estranei diversi, a seconda della percezione che gli altri hanno di lui. Folgorato dalla scoperta di non essere “unico per tutti”, e desideroso di comprendere chi è veramente, Vitangelo stravolge la sua vita, intraprendendo un doloroso percorso di ricerca che lo condurrà ai confini della pazzia (che è poi lo strumento principe in Pirandello per scardinare convenzioni e disvelare ipocrisie). Fino a giungere alla consapevolezza dell’essere, alla metamorfosi dell’uomo senza maschera, alla piena libertà: quell’immersione nel perenne fluire del tempo, in una vita pacificata di attimi, che “è la stessa vita delle nuvole, degli alberi e della natura”.
